Recruitment: Full-time Project Trainee (Publication and Research)

International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC) was founded in 1956 as a UNESCO-affiliated organisation to bring together theatre practitioners and theatre critics to meet and learn from each other. In 1992, Hong Kong [www.iatc.com.hk] became the fifth branch of the Association in Asia and is currently the only local organisation promoting the development of performing arts criticism with three-year grant support from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Over the years, IATC(HK) has published over 150 titles on various disciplines of the performing arts.

 

IATC(HK) is now looking for a Full-time Project Trainee (Publication and Research) (18-month contract):

 

Job Description

  • To assist in editing and research for all publications of the company;
  • To assist in all projects and events regarding issues on project planning, promotion and execution;
  • To execute any other duties assigned and support on ad hoc projects as required;
  • To work outside office, in terms of location and/or time, occasionally.

 

Requirements

  • Hong Kong Special Administrative Region permanent resident aged 18 or above;
  • Graduate of the last three years who have completed certificate programmes or above, preferably major in arts administration or culture-related subjects with one to three years of relevant experience; Fresh graduates are preferred;
  • Passion for performing arts culture/editing/arts administration is a plus;
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; Knowledge of graphic design software is a plus;
  • Detail-minded, good interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
