Introduction

The Journal of Drama and Theatre Education in Asia publishes papers mainly contextualizing on the development od praxis in East Asia, which experiences immense influence from Chinese cultures. The concepts and practices of education under these culture have, however, witnessed interesting clashes with those of applied theatre traditioning from the western world. DaTEAsia follows this focus to arouse research interestes in the process of reforming education. We hope this will be relevant to the mainstream academic world and related professions, encompassing a range of educators fom researchers, teachers, social workers, artists to administrators and policy makers.
