Altamira Guitar is named after the Cave of Altamira in Santander, Northern Spain. The Cave of Altamira intactly preserved Europe Upper Paleolithic rock paintings from 30,000 to 20,000 BC. It is considered to be representation of the prehistoric paintings and the earliest original works of art. The cave of Altamira was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1985.
