香港青年管樂合奏團

The Hong Kong Youth Windophilics (HKYW) is a non-profit-making wind orchestra established in 2011 by a group of young and enthusiastic musicians who are devoted to bring youth together to enjoy wind music.

The HKYW is a wind orchestra solely organized by youth in Hong Kong. All business is handled by young musicians themselves from administration to artistic direction. It strives to provide a platform and an opportunity for musicians to gain more musical experience and enhance their musicality at a younger age. With the aim of promoting orchestral playing among wind players and the art of wind music to the general public, the HKYW hopes to organize concerts and workshops regularly.

The HKYW held its Premiere Concert in 2012, performing two premiere wind orchestral transcriptions with the support of Dr. Chan Wai-Kwong Victor, Professor in the Department of Music of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as Mr Christiaan Janssen, renowned Dutch composer and arranger.

Currently, the Principal Conductor and Resident Artist of the Hong Kong Youth Windophilics is Mr. Leung Chun Yin Marco and Mr. David Ho-Yi Chan respectively.
