賽馬會創意藝術中心由石硤尾工廠大廈改建而成。廠廈昔日提供許多單位予小型山寨廠，包括五金、鞋業、印刷、鐘錶製造和塑膠等，對香港的工業發展作出了貢獻，是社區經濟的重要一環。 隨著使用廠廈為藝術基地的趨勢，石硤尾工廠大廈改建成結合藝術工作室的多元化藝術中心，把七十年代的典型工廠建築換上今日新裝的賽馬會創意藝術中心。 現在，翻新後的中心提供124個租金相宜的工作室單位予藝術工作者及藝團，包括視覺藝術、表演藝術、媒體藝術、應用藝術培訓及設計等，鼓勵他們進行藝術創作及舉行藝術活動。
The Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) is a renovated factory building in Shek Kip Mei, Hong Kong that has become home to over 150 local artists, art groups and creative professionals. JCCAC provides studio, gallery and work space for Hong Kong artists to develop, practice and showcase their work.
Built in the 1970s, the Shek Kip Mei factory estate was one of the first buildings to provide low-cost space to Hong Kong’s emerging light industry and manufacturing sector, and contributed much to the early growth of the territory.
Today, with the generous support of the Hong Kong Government, the Jockey Club Charities Trust, and the Hong Kong Baptist University, the building has been completely refurbished, creating a vibrant a hub for the local arts community, while preserving the past and paying tribute to a previous generation of craft and labour.
