Julian Meyrick

Julian Meyrick is Professor of Creative Arts at Flinders University, Adelaide, Artistic Counsel of the State Theatre Company of South Australia, and a member of the Currency House editorial committee and the Council for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences board. From 2002 to 2007 he was Associate Director and Literary Adviser at Melbourne Theatre Company. He has directed many award-winning theatre productions, and has written extensively on Australian theatre, Australian history and cultural policy. His book Australian Theatre after the New Wave appeared in 2017. What Matters? Talking Value in Australian Culture, co-authored with Robert Phiddian and Tully Barnett, was recently published by Monash University Publishing.
